We look for these houses - we call it the Griswauld Effect (from Christmas Vacation) and driving past them is part of our holiday tradition. Yep, we are ktschmas gawkers.

wow, we have a place like that here except it's like a city wide tradition to drive by their house on all the holidays, not just christmas, to see the gaudy decorations they put up. They keep their semi-circle drive clear so you can drive by and not block traffic

oh my goodness! I wonder what their electric bill is? I bet they pass the hat as people stop to gawk!
